In the morning we head to the lush green slopes behind the traditional village of Benitses for a scenic circular hike through forested trails and quiet mountain paths. The trail passes through shaded woodland towards the small settlements of Stavros and Dafnata. It then enters denser vegetation and passes the atmospheric ruins of the English aqueduct built in the early 19th century, now partly reclaimed by nature, before gradually descending through green slopes and forest tracks back to Benitses.
In the afternoon,  we visit an organic farm for a farm-to-table experience deeply connected to the island’s land and traditions. The visit begins with a guided walk through olive groves and organic gardens, along with insights into regenerative farming and a tour of the olive mill, followed by an olive oil tasting session. The experience concludes with a long-table dinner under the stars, where dishes made from the farm’s own seasonal ingredients are cooked over an open fire and in a wood oven, paired with local wines from the Ionian region.
