Destination Athens

Athenian civilization was admired for its preeminent philosophers, scientists and politicians and you can't write about Athens without paying tribute to the thinking, innovation and democracy that blossomed here 2.500 years ago, and shaped the world as we know it today.
Nowadays, most visitors to Athens see only the over promoted downtown area, before moving on to further destinations in Greece. Yet it is easy to get a fuller experience simply by traveling a few kilometers in order to explore the region of Attica that surrounds the city, and offers visitors a picture of Greece in miniature. It has high hills, beach resorts, small villages, old churches and several interesting classical sites.
For those of you, aiming to spend two or more days in Athens energetically, we are happy to offer selected trips combining the best of location and activity. Starting from the very center of the historical city, the range of the excursions extends to further locations around Attika region. You can do a walking food-tour in Plaka, hike in the National Park of Parnitha, sea-kayak in the South cost, visit Mt. Penteli's marble quarry of the Parthenon, or even drive to the site where the battle of Marathon took place.
The options are numerous and exciting! Come and join us, to experience our local secrets...
