SantorÃni is best approached by sea; as your arriving craft maneuvers over the impossibly midnight blue waters of the caldera, the sheer lava cliffs of the caldera lip, layered in varicolored rock, loom overhead, with white houses on top like a dusting of snow. Your guide will wait for you in the port and he will drive you to your hotel. After settling in, we will head towards Akrotiri, Santorini’s principal archaeological wonder, a town destroyed by the volcano eruption, but preserved under layers of lava.
In the afternoon and after a kayak lesson, you'll venture out into one of the most scenic areas of the island. Kayaking offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the dramatic coast line of Santorini, especially the Red Beach which is ornamented with high red cliffs and smooth, hand-sized pebbles submerged under clear water.

Oia is the westernmost town of the reverse-C shaped caldera that defines Santorini. Fira is roughly midway across the island, and 10km from Oia. Hiking the picturesque trail between them is one of the must-do things when visiting Santorini. With breathtaking views and stunning vistas at every turn, the trail is guaranteed to be one of the most spectacular you’ve ever hiked.
Start hiking in the morning and be in Oia for lunch. Early in the afternoon walk to Oia’s port from where we will embark our catamaran.
Sailing in the caldera is a highly rewarding experience, permitting you to admire the island from a different perspective. We will swim in hot springs next to the volcano, have barbecue on board and soak in the stunning sunset.
